Wendy has been the Director of the Educational Leadership Project (Ltd). since it was established in 2000. She has over 45 year’s experience in the early child sector, during which she has worked as a teacher, tutor, lecturer, manager, professional development facilitator, researcher and author!

Claire is our Project Manager. Get in touch with Claire for anything related to our events, in-centre workshops, online learning or Ministry of Education funded SELO programmes.
Claire joined ELP in 2017 from a varied administrative background, and has a passion for organising events and projects. She emigrated from the UK with her kiwi husband 20 years ago and has two children so she understands the tough choices parents make when searching for childcare. Every day she is blown away by the dedication and enthusiasm to children’s development and wellbeing, which is shown by our Facilitators and the kaiako we work with.
In her spare time, Claire loves to be out in nature with her family, including two energetic dogs. She also has a passion for anything hands-on and creative.
Celeste McCoard
Project and Accounts Administrator

Celeste is our accounts and payroll administrator, having many years experience in this area with owning her own businesses, a retail banking career and working part time in a primary school office in Hamilton.
Celeste recently joined our ELP team as she passionate about our Children’s education and “anything numeracy.” BUT she’s not a geek!
Celeste thrives on new challenges and likes to look outside of the square, for other skills to add to her collection. She and her family live in Hamilton and Celeste is very proud of her two daughters and what they have accomplished so far with their journey in life.
Outside of Celeste’s ELP work, she enjoys home renovations and landscaping, having renovated the last 3 homes she has been in. Celeste loves her two cats who are very much the hunters and gatherers of the family, bringing in to the house birds or mice regularly! In the Winter months she enjoys Saturday sport and baking up a storm when time permits!
